Caring for someone with dementia isn’t always straightforward, and it’s easy to feel unsure about what might help. The Monthly Dementia Talks are friendly, 30-minute online sessions designed to inspire new ways of understanding and supporting your loved one.

Each month, we’ll explore one practical topic together, sharing ideas and approaches you can use with your loved one.

Each session focuses on small, realistic changes that can make everyday life a little easier and more positive.

3-Part Series: Supporting Stress & Well-Being in Dementia Care

This November, December, and January, we’ll explore the N.U.T.S. stress model and how it relates to dementia care. Each month, we will focus on a different perspective to support both you and your loved one:

  • Session 1 – November:
We start with you, the care partner — recognising stress triggers and learning simple ways to support your own well-being.

  • Session 2 – December:
We’ll revisit similar situations, but this time through your loved one’s eyes — exploring mindful, compassionate approaches to communication and care.

  • Session 3 – January:
We’ll discuss everyday activities and gentle routines that can help bring more calm, connection, and ease into daily life.

Although the sessions build on one another, each talk stands alone — so you are welcome to join any or all of them, depending on your schedule.
