Imagine a time when finding the right words becomes difficult, yet the desire to connect, express feelings, and be understood remains unchanged. For people living with dementia, communication may look different, but the need for meaningful human connection continues throughout their journey.
This webinar invites us to look beyond spoken language and explore how movement, gesture, facial expression, and presence can become powerful tools for connection. By approaching communication with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to enter a different world, we can discover new ways of relating to and understanding people living with dementia.
Join Faye O'Connor, a Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist (ADMP UK), as she shares insights into the power of non-verbal communication and the role of movement in fostering connection, understanding, and emotional expression. Together, we will explore how embracing creativity, playfulness, and adaptability can help us communicate in ways that honour the experiences, emotions, and individuality of those living with dementia.
