You want to find activities to do with your loved one, but not in a group.
Check out the Individual Cognitive Stimulation Programme
During these sessions, we explore a range of activities that your loved one could enjoy. The choice of activity is tailored depending on the person, your relationship, your needs.
The type of activity will depend one:
- Your loved one's interest
- Your needs
- "I need my person to have activities they can do without me"
- "I need ideas of activities to enjoy together"
- "I need activities to offer when they're in getting anxious"
- ...
You want your loved one to spend meaningful time with someone who is specialized and can offer specific engagement for them.

This is one-to-one time for your loved one. I'll stay with them, engage in meaningful activities they enjoy. I may also try new activities for them to enjoy.
This will also be a good opportunity for me to find out if there are any unmet needs that could be addressed and make some suggestions (if desired).
You are not the primary care partner and feel lost when you are with the person. You would like to spend quality time with them. You would like to offer some respite to the primary carer. However, you feel lost.
You'd like to start by learning some practical strategies you can try yourself.
Check out my workshops.
The workshop about understanding stress will help you:
- Recognise, reduce and manage your stress
- Recognise, reduce and manage your loved one's stress
- Understand why certain behaviours can occur & how to respond to these
- Understand why activities are important, why and when to implement them
This workshop can help you feel more confident and prepared for the future.
You want to talk through what's happening with someone who understands dementia and help work out what might make things easier.
Dementia Support for Family is what I would recommend
- We'll meet one-to-one
- You will have time to talk through the situation
- We'll discuss strategies to make your specific situation feel more manageable
These strategies may include- Activities to offer your loved-one
- New ways to talk and engage with the person
- Environmental factors that can help
- And much more
- You'll leave with a clearer way of understanding the situation and practical strategies to try.
You'd like someone to help you practise different ways of connecting with your loved one.

This will also be an opportunity for me to observe your interactions and guide you through different approaches that could help make time together more enjoyable.
At the end of the programme, you'll have different activities you can enjoy when you visit. You'll also gain some insight on how to interact with your loved one to make visits feel more comfortable.
Not sure if a group is right for you?
Time to Shine could be a great programme to join if you feel comfortable being with people living with dementia. If you're struggling with engaging with your friend or relative, it may feel overwhelming to join a group.
You are welcome to join. However, I do recommend meeting yourself where you are right now, rather than forcing yourself into a situation that feels too overwhelming.
If you are interested in joining the group but aren't sure whether it would feel right for you, feel free to call me and we can discuss your situation.
You are not the primary care partner. You would like to offer the care partner some respite, and you cannot be the one visiting.
All of my services are meant to support the primary care partner, are paid online, and in advance. Making it possible for you to gift these services to the primary care partner.
My suggestion would be the Individual Cognitive Stimulation Programme, as it provides the most respite to the carer. The person living with dementia will receive regular visits from me. While the primary care partner is welcome to stay, they may also decide to take this time off and do something else.
Visits can be scheduled according to their needs.
NOTE: Sometimes, it's not about having someone spend time with the person living with dementia and giving respite to the care partner. Carers have a lot on their plate and basically sustain two (or more) lifes at once.
Care partners may also appreciate a cooked meal prepared for them. You could bring them something, or order food to be delivered at home. One day without having to cook and do the dishes can already help someone feel heard and seen.
