Sparking Curiosity, Strengthening Connection

At the heart of my practice is one central goal: to spark curiosity.

Curiosity allows us to stay open to new ways of understanding, caring, and connecting. It gives us permission to try different approaches, learn through experience, and discover what feels supportive and meaningful for both ourselves and our teammate.

When we approach dementia with curiosity instead of fear or self-judgment, we create more space for growth, flexibility, compassion, and connection.

Together, we explore this through three key areas: Skills, Knowledge, and Inner Resources.

Skills

Together, we will explore and build on the strengths and skills you already have. We’ll also add new strategies and approaches to your toolbox, helping you feel more confident, prepared, and connected when supporting your teammate.

Knowledge

Understanding dementia, the brain, and human behaviour can help you respond with greater clarity, confidence, and compassion.

With a Master of Science in Psychology, specialising in clinical psychology and cognitive neuroscience, I bring insight into mental health, human behaviour, and the healthy and changing brain.

Knowledge can be empowering. By better understanding what may be happening beneath the surface, you can adapt in ways that respect both your needs and the needs of your loved one.

Inner Resources

Supporting someone living with dementia is not only about caring for the person, it is also about caring for yourself throughout the journey.

At Dementia Partnered Care, I aim to offer a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. Together, we will explore ways to respond to your teammate’s needs while also respecting your own emotions, boundaries, and well-being.

By nurturing these three areas — skills, knowledge, and inner resources— you can strengthen and protect the relationship you share with the person you care about.
