Sparking Curiosity, Strengthening Connection
Through my practice, I have one central goal: to spark curiosity.
Curiosity is what keeps one open, adaptable, and willing to explore new ways of caring and connecting. It allows you to try different strategies, make mistakes, and learn from them. When you're curious, you don’t fail—you grow, adapt, and discover what works best for you and the person you care for.
How do I nurture your curiosity? By working alongside you to explore three key areas: Skills, Knowledge, and Inner Resources.
Skills
Even though we haven’t met yet, I can say this with confidence: you already have a wealth of skills.
Together, we’ll explore the abilities you bring to your caregiving role and how they can support you in your current situation. As a PAC-certified independent consultant, I can also introduce practical, person-centred tools to help you communicate, connect, and collaborate more effectively with someone living with dementia.
Knowledge
Understanding dementia helps you respond with clarity and compassion.
With a Master of Science in Psychology, focused on clinical psychology and cognitive neuroscience, I bring insight into how the brain changes in dementia—and what that means for day-to-day life.
Knowledge is power. By understanding what is happening, you have the power to respond to it in a way that respects you, your needs, as well as your loved one.
Inner Resources
Caregiving is not just about what you do—it’s about how you feel inside.
You might be feeling stress, strong emotions, discouragement, or loneliness. These are completely valid experiences that can influence how you relate to others, including the person in your care.
With tools like Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, and Autogenic Training, I’ll help you build emotional resilience, restore balance, and feel rooted in your own strength—so you can care for others without losing sight of yourself.
By nurturing these three areas— skills, knowledge, and inner resources—you can protect and deepen your relationship with the person you care about.
